Family Radio Service Frequency

- **462.5625 MHz** - Channel 1

- **462.5875 MHz** - Channel 2

- **462.6125 MHz** - Channel 3

- **462.6375 MHz** - Channel 4

- **462.6625 MHz** - Channel 5

- **462.6875 MHz** - Channel 6

- **462.7125 MHz** - Channel 7

- **467.5625 MHz** - Channel 8

- **467.5875 MHz** - Channel 9

- **467.6125 MHz** - Channel 10

- **467.6375 MHz** - Channel 11

- **467.6625 MHz** - Channel 12

- **467.6875 MHz** - Channel 13

- **467.7125 MHz** - Channel 14

Malaysian Air Band Frequency 2024

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) manages the allocation of airband frequencies for civil aviation in Malaysia. Updated airband frequencies for 2024 are detailed for various Malaysian airports, such as:

  • Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA): Frequencies for control and approach/departure communications include 121.2 MHz, 122.855 MHz, 123.6 MHz, 125.45 MHz, 126.5 MHz, and weather information at 127.6 MHz.
  • Penang International Airport (PEN): Includes approach/departure frequencies at 125.2 MHz and 125.8 MHz.
  • Kota Kinabalu International Airport (BKI) and Kuching International Airport (KCH) also maintain specific control tower and approach frequencies in the 119-131 MHz range.

The frequency usage may be periodically reviewed to align with international standards and minimize interference, especially following updates from the World Radiocommunication Conference and MCMC's guidelines. For comprehensive frequency data, including specific frequencies used at different Malaysian airports, you may refer to resources like RadioReference or the MCMC’s spectrum management site.

Malaysian Air Band Frequency Latest as at 1st May 2014

Updated Malaysian Air Band Freq.

What you can hear, and in turn relate to air craft you see flying overhead, obviosly depends on the position of your location relative to airports and air route. Since VHF radio waves follow approximate messages from it. Transmitter power is also a factor but, generally speaking, high flying aircraft can be received up to 320km away as a rule of a thumb, frequencies below 123 mhz are alocated to tower and approch units and those above 123 mhz to Air Traffic Control Centres (ATCC) although there are exceptions to this.

The majority of air band listener use their radio as a means of logging aircraft registrations but there are others for whom this is of no more than academic interest. Their listening pleasure is derive from learning how aircraft are controlled and the way the ATC system operates. Those in the second category will soon begin to grasp the principles and will want to find out more, whilst those in the first will recodnise that a basic knowledge of them will assist in tracking the aircraft in which they are interest

Apa itu Radio Amatur?

Pengenalan

Set up a Baofeng UV-5R Repeater System

Instructions on how to set up / build a Baofeng UV-5R VHF Repeater System or use Baofeng as repeater. This setup could be used or deployed in emergency or disaster, SHTF or WROL situations where communications are vital for survival. Instructions presented in this video are for educational purposes only. Pardon for the grammatical and pronunciation errors; English is not my mother tongue.

What you need:
The Baofeng repeater system is composed of an RX (receiving) unit and a TX (transmitting) unit so that means you'll need 2 Baofeng UV-5R radios. No need for radio tone controller. The setup takes advantage of the VOX feature (Voice Operated Transmission) on the TX unit. Aside from the RX and TX units, you will also need a stereo cable with 3.5mm Male and 2.5mm Male ends just like this:
http://dx.com/p/3-5mm-male-to-2-5mm-m...

Other notes:
Frequencies have to be dialed in on the repeater system and the radios which will be used to communicate with the system. In the video, I used 2 UV-5Rs to communicate with the repeater system but you can also use other 2-meter portables as long as it can do frequency shift and you can specify the shift direction. It could be any brand-model portable transceiver and not necessarily a Baofeng UV-5R.

* Drawback
Though not evident in the video due to close proximity of the test radio units to the repeater system, there is that so-called 'receiver desensitization' (a.k.a desense) which can be "defined as on-channel noise or a strong off-channel signal that degrades the receiver sensitivity. On-channel noise can be coming from the repeater or passing through the duplexer from some other source. An off-channel signal can be close in frequency and physically located somewhere else (another site), or it can be located in close physical proximity to the receiver, but not necessarily close in frequency. Either situation will restrict the receiver's capability to detect (pick up) a weak signal, such as a low-level signal from a mobile or handheld radio."
http://www.bird-technologies.com/Reso...

Solutions:
1. Vertical and horizontal space separation/ isolation of the TX and RX antenna

2. Install a duplexer tuned to your desired RX and TX frequencies; enables you to use only one antenna for the entire repeater system setup (connected to the duplexer).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNf4u-...

3. Crossband repeat with 150 plus MHz separation. Receive on UHF then transmit on VHF, separate TX and RX antenna, no duplexer.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfAe65...

I hope this helps. Thanks a lot for watching. Maraming salamat po at Maligayang Pasko sa inyong lahat.

V40 = Calling Channel

Situasi begini sering kali kita hadapi. Mungkin ada beberapa sebab perkara begini berlaku. Suka kami ingatkan disini.
